We have a retreat coming up in November. The retreat will start on the 8th, Friday evening, and finishing on the 10th, Sunday afternoon. The retreat will be up on Tamborine Mountain. Happy Easter all!

This year we had our Easter picnic at Tambourine Mountain. It was a beautiful cool day. The rain stayed away thankfully. After some trial and error we settled on a picnic area in the national park at the north end of the mountain. Noodles, salad spiced chicken for lunch with cheesecake and fruit salad for desert. Today we are branching out. We are starting a new Young Christian Meditation group at QUT Gardens Point campus. Fanny will be leading the group there. A young sister from the Verbum Dei community will also be joining us at Gardens Point.

We teach Christian meditation. We welcome beginners, experienced and those of other faiths and spiritualities. We would be delighted if you would come join us.

We're back for a new year. We met on Wednesday for the first time this year. There were five of us there. There were many stories from the holidays and joy that two of our number are engaged. Also there was the sadness of death of an extended family member of another. But in the centre was our period of silence with each other. During a nice dinner after meditation last Wednesday we decided to try out starting our meditation group a little later. The time we decided on was: 6:45pm.

Despite the rain we ventured out to Colmslie Beach Reserve for our picnic. The picnic was to celebrate our year together as Young Christian Meditators and to celebrate Christmas with one-another before many of us go on holidays. The rain created a peaceful atmosphere and made finding a BBQ easy. Sheltered away from the rain we meditated before and after lunch. At the lunch there was plenty of good food, good friendship and good conversation.

The Christian meditation mob went ahead with Andrea, Ananda, and I (Adam) attending. I think we felt all a little nervous at first. For me, when I started meditating, that nervousness fell away.

In the meditation I felt as though we were a still centre in the hub of a spinning wheel. We were the still centre in the busy activity of the city.
